Kruger Day Three
Kruger Day 3
We left Lower Sabie camp on the east side of the park and started up and over routes that would get us to our last camp, Berg-en-dal, in west. We saw few animals once we left the river area, but did sight a Kudu (large deer with fantastic curly horns) and a giraffe drinking at a water hole. We don't even stop for Impala anymore (except when they are blocking the road) because there are so many of them. We took a wrong turn and ended up driving for a half hour out of our way, seeing no animals at all. Then we saw the cars stopped ahead and almost screamed. Lying down right next to the road was a beautiful lion. He got up and ambled across the road and into the brush. WOW!
